On the Human Matrix

We prefer the term "human matricial flows" to emphasize the dynamic quality of the human remaking of self and environment. However, this phrase will inevitably be shortened to human matrix, and in any case, in the current culture may call up echoes of the Hollywood movie series, The Matrix. That movie features a Cartesian separation of mind/body that transilient theory denies. In contrast, transilient theory understands human matricial flows as fully material. There is no separation of our encoded experience from the "reality" of our bodies. It is precisely the encoding of the material world into other structures - in which we all live - that is the amazing activity of humanity.
