Figure B-7. Both newly-cut wet faces of a sectioned stalagmite from Shangdong Cave, which is near Yangzhipo Cave (25.5N, 106.3E), ca. 30 km southwest of
Guiyang city, Guizhou, China. The stalagmite was sectioned near its center, so that the brown outer zone visible on the right side of the right piece and on the left side of the left piece is truly asymmetrically distributed. Stalagmite collected by Mr. Hong-lin Xiao.
