Figure B-2. Transverse (horizontal) sections through four stalactites from Wadi Sannur Cavern in eastern Egypt. Wadi Sannur Cavern is 70 km southeast of Beni Suef, a city in the Nile Valley. These stalactites were collected by Dr. Adel Dabous, and their age was the subject of a paper by Dabous and Osmond (2000).
