This page shows siliciclastic sands from passive continental margins. We've divided them into those from glaciated areas and those from non-glaciated areas. One would expect the sands from glaciated areas to be poorer in quartz and richer in non-quartz silicate minerals, because glaciation would likely erode igneous and/or metamorphic rocks in continental shield areas to yield a diverse mineral assemblage.
